boost gauge plumbing preferences?
All should just be fine, the gauge should be put into the boost switch to make it easier to see. Sometimes it is on some other gauges.

Plumbing in a boost controller
You should consider the size of the pipe when you are going to add a boost controller. And you might need an adapter bushing for the controller.
