I just changed out my TPS.
My loss of Rpm is gone but my idle is high and fluctuates/wanders.

it is idling betwen 1200 and 1700 rpm. when it holds steady it holds at 1600.

Any suggesti ...

it is just a shielding and is splice able.

My thought would be to first find a spare and practice. if yours is bad you really have nothing to lose. Or a new harness.

Well, hey guys.
I haven't had any time to do any real testing. I just checked all vacuum, the rear sensor connections etc.
Here are some more clues.

is the dme also the ecu?
what is the AFM?

It searches occasionally. Most of the time it evens out. I think that when it dies it just gradually idles down with out the search.
It goes from about 700 rpm to about 12 or 1300.

I thought maybe the coil. I have an f-150 {i know an entirely different animal} but it had the same power loss thing going on and the coil fixed it.
You don't mean the Haynes manual do you?

it gradually dies. it has never just shut off with out warning. Maybe the coil?
