| the starter maybe will need a rebuilt, but it shoudn't affect the charging, should it? it was charging just about 12,3V when the engine was hot.. |

i'm not sure how the starter-motor heat-shield look like. i will look..
i will try to clean the cables on the starter. the other ones i have cleaned already.

| in czech republic we have to drive with lights on all the time. when i turn them on it is garging just about 13V sometimes less. it's not enought. i was driving porsche for whole weekend and i am luck ... |

I gather you are bench testing the alternator at 14.2V?
On the car you will lose charging if the earth on the alternator is not good.
These are rubber mounted to the motor and need an earth strap or ... |

my alternator is also rebuilt and it was tested with a new regulator and it was giving 14,2V. but on the ... |

the batery in my 924 is charged just about 12,8 - 13,2V. I have the alternator checked and it is charging 14,2V ... |

I bought new pressure cup, and I hope that it is fixed. I didn't have much time to test it, but it seems ok now (and the old one was pretty bad).

| no, not yet. What worries me is that the temperature is growing even with the fan running on full speed. I was thinking if the problem isn't anywhere else.. |

after testing, i find out the problem is probably just the fuel pump even it is new. the pressure of the fuel is so low that it cannot go through the back-pressure valve.
i will have to buy another ... |
