I'm guessing that Porsche will eventually introduce a shorter 2-dr version of the Panamera, with half of that car's engine. Badda-boom Badda-bing: instant 924/944/968 revisit.

The 928 was started first then stopped and finished later, the 924 was started after but finished first - hence the numbering.

I used to own a 928S, and believe me, the fact that the design was inspired by the Pacer had no influence on the amount of enjoyment I was able to wring out of that car!

Actually, Tony Lapine once stated his design for the 928 was indeed inspired by the AMC Pacer, of all things.

The wheels that you are likely thinking of were aftermarket, and usually had 6 or more holes - I have seen up to nine in a Phone Dial style. I've never heard of a (Porsche) factory 4-lug Phone Dial.
