Well FWIW, I shorted the wires to the "idle" switch so the abacus always thinks its closed.

now it doesnt go rich when you crack the throttle.


also btw the 965 (later 964 911 turbo) ...

im doubting its wiring. I mean the switches work.... its just why is the system reacting that way?

im considering the mixture setting. im going more off the A/F than the pressure readings BTW.

Any chance your wiring is bad or mis-pinned? Kinda sounds like you're getting the WOT enrichment from the wrong part of the switch, no?
I guess anything is possible
But I was getting WOT enrichment ...

I have always had the issue of going Full rich, just off closed throttle. The A/F would come back after a second, but this made pulling away ...

The '81 manual doesn't show an inline resistor and my 81 S2 doesn't have one either. The 0 221 122 023 coil, which is the correct coil for this car has an internal resistance of 0.7 Ohm.

Ignition modules are notorious to being temperature sensitive.
yeah, I had that happen on a past vehicle, but that one was on the engine. these are on the fender, where air should be readily cooling ...
