Looks like a detent from one of the synchronizer hubs. Do you have a picture of the other side?

Got it. The pulley on the spare head actually has the dot on the rear. I am going to swap them out. The one on the car is spotless but no dot so out it comes. I guess this one was an odd ball.

Sorry dude but that is usually the first thing to fall off a Porsche. Go figure. You can get that info from Porsche but it is expensive and more often then not it is not worth the expense.

My opinion would be no. The turbo I removed from my car had similar cracks in the hot side housing. The crack when heated will expand into the turbine opening and damage the turbine.
