hey,
I just got a 1980 porsche 924 turbo (931) and im looking to do some upgrades with the body. Is there a wide varity of options ? Are there body kits that would fit on my turbo but not on others. Do body styles vary from year to year ? Could i get a body kit for a non-924 or a non-1980 ?
thanks -

David, body kits are fairly limited for this car, if you want a car for body kits get a feiro
however there is gt-racing.com, which you can get a Carrera GT replica parts in fiberglass orcarbon fiber, or you can get the 924 GTR body kit, there is even a kit out there, dont have the link, but you can make it to look like a 968 last time I saw that 1 the price was aroung £2400 probably still the same though, and stupidly expensive, _________________ 3 928s, |

I did see a rear skirt at nopi earlier this evening, however I didn't find it to look all that appealing.
I think it was around $400- _________________ 81' 931 |

Want to see some different FG pieces go to www.PEFA.COM or search Pefa on the net. You will like what you see especially the dash top. _________________ "Never let them see you sweat"

Sorry I neither drink or smoke anything. PEFA design is correct. They do make some different pieces than most that I have seen and I may not like some of them.
No, I am old fashioned and keep a clear head on at all times. Run off at the mouth at times though. _________________ "Never let them see you sweat"

Hello David
I Happen To Have A 924 Front Spoiler And Side Skirts As Well As A Rear Apron For Your Car. I Had Purchased Them For My 1981 924 Turbo But Have Since Decided To Go With A Carrera GT Conversion. I'm Not Sure Where You Are Located But I Can Have Them Shipped If Need Be.
Regards,
Rich |

The 968 conversion is at www.clubautosport.co.uk just short of £2500. Can't decide whether to get the Carrera GT kit, wait a little longer and get the 944 Turbo kit, or just get a loan and go for the 968 conversion. Not that there's anything wrong with the looks of a standard 924, I just think the 944 & 968 look much more modern. _________________ 1980 924 Turbo RHD. 3" > 2.5" Stainless straight-through exhaust. |

I like how the euro 931's look, but I hate the front bumper of the US 931's. I'm thinking about getting either an Euro front end or just a 944.
ps. does anyone know what modifications I would need to make the 944 front end fit the 924. I may be getting a used 944s so I could use the front flares and such. _________________ [This Space For Rent] |

juno, mate, I'm willing to bet it'd be cheaper to buy a 944 than to make a 924 look like a 944 (why oh why would you wanna do that?!)
If anything, the 944 looks dated compared to the 924!
As for the Carrera GT thing, I never thought they looked that good anyway. Don't get me wrong, I fully respect the cars and would love to own one -mate, the performance! -it's just that they just aren't the prettiest things going around...
I love the bullet-like shape of the 924. Sure, they need to be lowered and have some fatter rubber put on them to look their best (compared to stock), and those U.S. bumpers are atrocious! But all-in-all, it's a very nice shape they've got.
I quite like the little Turbo spoiler on the hatch, too. I think they look better with that kick in the tail...
