Spliffy what was the brand of the screen ?
Sekurit? piklington?
Some of my frineds with 944 85+ did change front screen but those came without the rubber distance that make it sits flush.

They had to re use the old one from removed screen, or put enormous amount of PU glue.

Not sure what brand it was, its what the screen fitters had listed as original fit, will try and check.

Wonder if your friends were supplied the wrong pre 85+ screen by mistake ? mine came with the built in arial if that helps.

You should be able to check the brand of the screen. it should be in left or right lower corner of the screen.
