I've noticed some differences in US market 931's. I've seen several 1980 931's with the licence plates hung from the rear bumper with a "turbo" sign covering the space between the lights where others of the same year have plates. Fill me in!

All of those panels that are between the tail lights (Turbo, Porsche, etc.) are after market, In my opinion they make the car look old and dated. Many others love them though, Just ask Stu he seems to be their biggest fan.

I thought everyone loved them, nice to see someone else thinks they look bad. They remind me of those mid-1980s american cars (olds cutlass and stuff like that) with lights across the entire back. A little silly.

FWIW, the US design bumper "supports" placing a US/Canadian license plate either on the bumper between the rubber pads, or between the lights. The European bumpers don't have a "blank space" where you can put a license plate, there is a rubber strip that goes all the way across.

Thanks guys. As usual, I think the euro rear end looks better!
