Hi all,
I'm in need of a new windshieldwasherpump. The old one needs lubrication and TLC every other week in order to keep it working.
I tried replacing it with a VW golf (type II) pump. It runs but doesn't squirt water, no matter how i rearrange the two tubes. What am i doing wrong?
Can I use any other Audi/VW pumps from my local wreckingyard? (preferably one with a bit more power).
Thanks in advance.

I know some of you might consider this defacing your porsche but why don't you go get a universal pump from you local autoparts store and just hook that in. I've done that in almost every single car I own and it's worked out great, the only thing is you might need to find a new place to mount it and change the wiring harness to fit the new pump. |

yup, same here, azn, a pump is a pump IMO.
THey sell the ones that mount differently, the slide on ones like the 924 has, and the other types.
Pep boys...where ever. |
