Can there be a fourm that only covers the best places to find services? Where people can post their experiences from dealing with business' (only good experiences, we don't want to offend anyone) where the Moderators can create a handful of topics like;
Body Anything that can be touched from the outside: doors, bumpers, valances, hoods, rockers. Other than glass, mirrors, exhaust, wheels,
Engine Anything under the hood: oil pressure sending unit, belts, camshafts
Electrical Anything electrical: Alternator, starter, headlight motor.
Brakes and wheels Anything in the fenders: brake pads, bearings, rims, tires, spacers, center caps
Glass Any glass or mirror: windows, mirrors, rear hatch, sunroof,
No questions or problems, just business'. Like a yellow pages.
Include the part, price, time to took to receive parts, how it was shipped, quality of service. Any points that would be appropriate.
I'm sure you get my drift. If this paints a clear enough picture I think it will give us the absolute best places to shop for our 924's.
Or if you think it isn't plausible, say so.

I'll talk to the other moderators about it. It might be useful to open up a services forum.

The major problem with non-Internet-based services is that they are irrelevant to 99% of the guys using the board. If you have the world's greatest Porsche mechanic in your town who loves 924s and charges $20 per hour all that's going to do is make everyone jealous. For most people it's just too far away.

I meant internet sites, not any guy off the street, who happens to own a Porsche. I don't know how comfortable I would be buying a part from a shade tree mechanic, (I know we have more than a few of them here) buying a part unseen, from a man who may or may not be a qualified mechanic would give me the chills.

Quite a few of those links are inactive. And it's confusing, random info and some very crappy sites. Thanks for looking into it though, guess I was trying too hard to get perfect information all laid out for me.
Hummmmm.... maybe I'm lazy?
