What is this item located on the driver side fender in the engine compartment toward the middle with a part number 477.957.901c? The item is square and has a cable on the top one on the bottom and an electric plug on the bottom. Does any one know? |

That should be the mileage counter for the oxygen sensor light. It just counts off a certain number of miles then closes a switch to light the light in the dash, then you're supposed to replace the oxygen sensor. Them's speedo cables going to and from it. When it's time for a new cable, most get rid of that setup and go with a single longer cable instead - cheaper, easier and way more sane. _________________ "..it's made in Germany.
