Need trans for my '87 924S will 944s2 trans work in my car

i have a '87 924s with broken trans . ring and pinion busted
there is a brand new 944 s2 trans on ebay right now will this fit in my car?

should fit straight in as freind has 944 turbo box bolted in his 924 carrera gt....i dont think he had to modify to get in..........

this should work although your friend with the CGT probably had to replace the torque tube as well as the CGT has a G31 which bolts up alot differently than a 944 tranny

It should bolt right up...

But, you will need to find a way to plug the speedo drive hole in the transmission since the 924S takes the speedo drive from the left front spindle.

The gear ratios will also be different, so I would expect your car's performance specs to be altered.
