As for the stroker thing...or any performance mod for that matter...I've always maintained that it's not about "what makes sense" financially. For me, the learning, the experience, and the friends I made along the way were worth far more than the money I spent chasing down ways to make these cars go.

After the 27 cars and many tens of thousand I spent, I have no regrets. Nevertheless, the upshot of all that spending and fun and learning is this:

In my opinion, the overall best ratio of performance improvement to dollar spent for a street-driven 2L 924 is to buy the best condition 931 you can find and install a water meth injection kit with a boost controller. After that, better brakes, better tires, investing in repairs & reliability, and of course, going on a diet yourself and learning how to drive better
