Hi All,

Does anyone know, or can measure the internal diameter of the inlet of the stock k26 turbo?

Thanks,
Delian

What year?

Are you trying to figure out what compressor wheel you have?

Best way is to remove compressor cover.

Konrad did just that in the thread below yours

https://www.924board.org/viewtopic.php?t=45802&start=75

The difference is 2mm on the inlet between the 2660 and 2664 so it would be hard any other way

I am looking to upgrade to a modern turbo (EFR6258) but the racing rules I need to follow state I can have up to 10% larger inlet diameter on the replacement turbo than the std turbo. I have a k27/k26 hybrid turbo, so I don't have k26 compressor housing to measure. So actually, I'd like to know the inlet internal diameter for the 2660 and 2664, then I can use the larger dia (if they are different) as the basis of my upgrade calcs. Thanks.

Is it an S1 or S2 engine?

Normally you can never be sure what i actually sitting there, because the replacement turbos was a bit all over the place.

If you have a ROW S1 you should have a 60mm wheel with 42mm inlet diamter

If you have a ROW s2 you should have a 66mm wheel with a 40mm inlet

The 924 turbos didnt have any larger compressor inlet than 42mm inlet (Except for the GTS model), so it should be a good starting point for your calculations, depending on how strict the regulations are..But that EFR have a 49mm inlet if I understand it correctly, so should be a bit to big.

Thanks Cedric, Garrett GTX2860 Gen 2 has 46mm inducer diameter which would be legal under the rules and should deliver similar performance to the EFR6258.

Just in case anyone argues you can also add 1mm to the wheel inlet size Cedric provided to get the "housing" inlet size

Two top housings are actually 1980 USA 931 S1 Housings. Ignore the bottom two
