Using my timing light I see no spark.
What is the best method to proceed?
Hayne's seems unclear... what should be Omh readings at coil,primary and secondary?
If it is a bad coil will the 924s or 944 coil work?
If the coil is good ... then what?

Hi,

I doubt a 944 coil could work.
You can find the complete diagnostic procedure in the Porsche Workshop manual, chapter 28 of the first volume.
