Putting the final touches on putting back together an engine, thing was already apart when I got it.
Have two "what the hell are these" things. One is a hole next to the air oil separator on the back side of the block. The other looks like a vacuum line of some sort possibly a/c related???? Could even be related to each other I'm guessing. That appears to have been sheared off at some point. Any help would be great.

On picture one, the larger hole looks like the AOS drain. The smaller hole is a capped off oil or water passage.

Picture two almost looks like an AC hard line, but it wouldn't have a standard clamp on it. Are we sure it's from this car?

Okay so the smaller hole is the one in question. Wanted to be sure nothing went there before I put the AOS on.

As for the second pic, it very well might not be, but it was with the parts from it. I can't seem to find any where it would have sheared off from. If it's likely from the a/c then it's something I can figure out later, I just want to be sure it's not supposed to be plugging off any sort of vacuum.

There is nothing like that in the 2.5 intake system.

Thank you! I searched that up and found the info I needed. I would have been trying to hunt down that problem for a lifetime.
