Hello All !
It's been awhile since I've posted. I tried the search button and found nothing new concerning what I hoped would finally be a supplier for the Snailshell 1st and 2nd gear Synchros. So may I ask if there are any suppliers yet ??
Thank you.
Patrick

Einmalig lists 2nd/3rd: https://einmaligparts.3dcartstores.com/Syncronizer-Ring40_p_92913.html

1st is a different story but there's a lot of discussion on this board about it in some good threads on rebuild.. http://www.924board.org/viewtopic.php?t=33967&sid=e147eff1a242d298cd4a0814cab3fd02

This company specializes in Porsche transmission repair and possibly would have the part you need -- I would contact them: https://californiamotorsports.net/

Thanks so much for your reply. I actually need to be sure first that there would in fact be a replacement part/parts if needed, before I have my Snailshell opened up.

I don't want to risk making my 79 totally undriveable. It's been my understanding all these years that the synchro gears for 1st and 2nd are nearly impossible to get (especially 1st ).

EVERYONE-
I just checked Einmalig, and unfortunately no synchro gears for my 1979 Snailshell. I will check California Motorsports. Otherwise, any other leads would be appreciated. Thanks Again.

Sorry for the late reply guys, been somewhat busy.

Cedric - I haven't gotten around to checking CMS, but will check them out.

Fasteddie313 - Thanks !

Chuck21401 - Cattelusengineering has them listed alright, but will have to check for availability anyway. Thank You.

On another note, I’ve been thinking about farming out my trans synchro and shift linkage job to someone else if I can find anyone willing to do it..
Might pay like $1,000 to have it done? Any ideas?

Maybe some other random stuff too..

I haven’t even been in my home state for 3 weeks so far this year
Vegas, Omaha, back to Vegas, Missouri next, probably back to Omaha for a while and then another big job in Vegas coming up..

Could probably find time to drive the 931 just about anywhere for some work and fly out though..

i work at a shop in portland oregon called avant Garde Collection. my co worker Chris Smith is hands down the best 915 gearbox rebuilder i have ever seen i could talk to him and the owner and see if they would take care of it for you. he has the knowledge and ability to get creative inside these gearboxes.
