I have been troubleshooting for the last couple months on my 931. The last thing I tried was bypassing the ignition switch. At this point the car fires when being turned over but as soon as I go to run it dies. I have tested the voltages at the coil and the CDI with the ignition on and they are low, I see lots of cracks in the insulation for the wires going to the battery so I am guessing I have some wiring issues.
I am not excited to troubleshoot this so I am asking here what is the best way to go about this? And what tools would help besides a multi-meter. Any other advise would be nice as well
For Reference I am getting 1.87 volts at the CDI when it should be close to 12
And 1.5 volts at the coil when it should be 5 volts or more. |
