Hello everyone. I have been registered on this forum for a while but not posted anything.
Anyway, 20 years ago I built a Carrera GT replica using my 924 lux as a base. I'm wondering if anyone knows if it is still about.
The UK registration was DWL 324V but circa 2005 I sold it to a chap who took it to Ireland. I did spot an advert for it up for sale after that but can't remember where or when.
The car was white. I put an original pinstripe CGT interior in it that I bought from Ricky Ceasar who was the CGT club secretary or something at that time.
It had red CGT graphics on the front wing and rear, black stone protection on the front edges of the rear fenders and correct 928 side indicators on the front wings. I also removed the windscreen and spaced it flush with the frame just how a CGT is. It had a Nardi flat bottom steering wheel too. Original Fuchs wheels with black centre's too. The hood scoop was correctly moulded and cut into the bonnet.
The only thing I didn't change was the engine, although I did rebuild it so it was a standard 2 litre.
I dont want to buy it or anything I'm just interested to know if it is still about.
If anyone has info or pictures please either post here or let me know via pm.
