I see some difference in turbo mounts(both same partnumber).

Difference is that the main hole is not in the center and the other one has a smaller hole for the oil feed.

Anybody know why?

Believe mine is on the left....one on the car and spares

Bolt holes on the right look further apart in the pic?

I have spent wayyyy to much time fondling turbo mounts on my aluminum mount project

I realized all too late a detail. The that hole doesn't line up with the drain on the K26 center section. Its offset one to the other

The simplest solution is to chamfer, or in this case, make that hole larger

It does look like the mount holes are farther apart but it wouldn't surprise me if its just the picture. The one on the left looks like it has larger holes.

Its hard enough to put these on a turbo since it hits the part of the turbo body. Larger mount holes allow more tilt during install. The one I scanned for my mount was notched by the PO

Most, if not all of my iron mounts, look like the one on your left.

The camera is playing tricks here too. This is also an early picture. Once I saw the offset drain, I increased my center hole diameter. I also made cut outs for mounting in the back part (not shown here)

So the left one is the one to use?

I would say yes. The larger hole version seems to be the only ones I have. Found two more

Obviously not holding it perfectly. It was dark
