My 924 (hopefully) driving soon, i want to get a new project, a 2.0 liter na to build over the summer while driving the 924 and drop it in over the winter.

Ive bought efi and supercharger for the engine, and im still looking for the engine

My current plan is to get the aliexpress rods. idk if they are any good. and some forged vw flat tops.

Would the POR-144 rods fit? No inventory sadly.

Would a thick cometic headgasket be enough to lower the compression for the sc? My goals are just 1 bar of boost and 7k rpm. And yes im going with na head.

Any advice would be greatly appreciated since im a noob when it comes to assembling engine with aftermarket parts.

Reminds me of mine that will never be finished because something always comes up and stops me from working on it. Hopefully you'll not end up in the same trap.

They are NA spec forged pistons made by Omega, well known UK manufacturer of strong pistons, find anything else 'on the shelf' stronger!? Doubt you'll find a brand new set of NA specific pistons any cheaper either. Richard who is selling is a top guy and probably post to Finland.

No idea of other options, I'm not NA specialist.
