Show pics of your 924. Whether a show stopper, race car, or a project in the making.

An admirable effort but I was always under the impression this Board's title was '924.org' not 'allfrontenginedPorsches.org'....
I think that one is titled 'Rennlist'

If you squint real hard you can see the 931 in the garage. I'll get a better pic of it with the Weissach in the next month or so... I have a few projects to attend to! _________________ 1980 Porsche 931

Looks more like a bug eye Sprite to me.
And 'jerk' - really ? There are piles of websites devoted to everything Porsche and none of them could give a F about our cars. This site is about the 924 and that is an excellent thing in my opinion. It's still a pure 924 hangout.
Rennlist, Pelican etc. are all excellent places to talk about all of the 'cool' P-cars. This forum was started for the geek-squad of the unwanted and not appreciated and personally I like that. It's got street cred.
Oh hey, anyone want to talk about my Mazda CX-5 babywagon ? C'mon...

¯\_(ツ)_/¯ and you could have talked trash about the Beetle at the fore of the picture I posted, but you didn't.
Yeah, 924 is what this forum is about. There are other cars represented here though. So a member who has been posting about his heavily modded 944, who to my recollection has never gotten flak for that car on this board, makes a post:
Quote: | Show pics of your 924-944-968-951-928 |
And you start to flame him for it... being a 924 owner and being generally the recipients of disdain from other P-car owners, I would hope we could all just appreciate what everyone brings to the table here. _________________ 1980 Porsche 931

I like your Bug. We used to have a '71 Super Beetle Sun Bug, great car.
But I wouldn't post about it here. There are other forums for that. Lots of other forums actually. In the same way there are other forums for the 944s'. And 951s'. And 968s'. And 911s'. And Mazdas. And Toyotas. And not a single one of them would give a rat's ass about me posting a 924 within their hallowed halls.
JMHO that this forum is for the 924 and everything to do with them. Other models have other forums, this one is ours.

Flame is a weird word, isnt it?
Asking for some form of order based on the history and designation of this website is hardly flaming in my opinion.
Lets rename the thread to show off your 924 and let Noah keep his 944 picture while we, the rest of the 924 owners post pictures of our 924s. _________________ https://www.the924.com |

Interesting discussion and after giving it some thought "rhetorically" I wonder why Noah chose this group to have threads about his 944 instead of 944 forums or groups? I've followed some of his stuff over the last couple of years, shrugged and rolled my eyes at some of the drama, but being an enthusiast and mechanic at heart I recognize that he has a passion.
Having said that however I must wholeheartedly agree with Leigh and feel this group should be devoted strictly to 924 related topics. Granted there is some crossover with the 944 in certain systems, especially when we're discussing the 924S, but generally speaking this is '924board' and I would like to see that exclusivity respected...sorry Noah, but that's why I visit every day. I have other outlets for other makes and models. _________________ '95 BMW 318i/5 ..."Pearl"

I quite agree. The 924 is a inspiration, yet its a recipient of VW PORSCHE AUDI parts. Its from an era in evolution that gave birth to the 928 924 944 968 and we'll probably never see this series again. We are stronger together.
Anyway, I changed the first post because I think this is silly to fight over.

Nobody forgot Gramps (Noahs 924)
Its all good, but lets try to keep it between the lines or else we'll make a mess of this place and its really not worth turning this knowledge shrine for the 924 into a mix of all things. _________________ https://www.the924.com |

I have others cars but the 924's are the only ones I take pictures of
I'll do my best to get some better ones this summer
...and the silver 1980 NA which hasn't really seen the light of day since 1986. Needs better pictures and a washing. Sorry about the 2002 in the background but its my first car...not the 1600 Porsche development platform unfortunately This is most of them but not all
