The factory 0-60 time for the Porsche 924s (1987) is around 7.5 seconds. I have always been interested in how quick my car is and if it lost any power over the years. As far I was told and have observed, it is completely stock. My speedometer is pretty accurate, but I used a GPS to be sure I know what I am actually doing. After a 5 runs, I averaged 6.3 seconds. This is a noticeable difference and I am wondering if porsche deflated the numbers. The previous owner, who owned the car for over 20 years, said it was completely stock and to my relatively untrained eye it appears so. I haven't done anything to the car myself either. What 0-60 times are you all getting for your 87' 924s?

Fabulous results mate! I can't remember my times, but I wasn't able to achieve the advertised speed in my 88 944 n/a, but the air is thin in these parts.

Porsche never overstates (overstated?) their performance numbers. But I think most of it might be the tires. You probably have a lot better grip than what was delivered by the stock tires in 1987.

No reason why your car would have lost any power over the years as long as the fuel injection is running to spec, which is more likely with Motronic than Kjet.

Good point about the tires, while 20 years ago you could probably launch the car from 3000RPM and still get plenty of wheel spin now you can probably launch it from higher and get a lot less spin.
The start makes a lot of difference for the end result.

Interesting, cant wait to see what my NA does since its on quite sticky tires.
I could probably drop the clutch from redline and launch the car much harder.

I do have new tires on the car, that may be the difference. Quite the difference!
