I have a 924 2.0 NA that hasn't been on the road since 1991. there looks to be a small notch on the crank pulley closest to the engine block. Is that the correct timing mark that lines up with the pointer just above that pulley? Thank you in advance for the responses. _________________ 1982 Porsche 924 NA project |

I always try to line up the timing marks on the pulley, cam gear and flywheel. With the cars being as old as they are and without history you never know what has been done to the engine. |

Also make sure you line up the mark on the INSIDE of the cam gear (facing to the rear of the car, ignore the one on the outside/front) with the marker on the top of the valve cover. Also, your rotor must be pointing to the line on your distributor for cylinder 1. _________________ 1979 Porsche 924 NA Petrol Blue

That foto says camshaft pulley, but that is incorrect. That is the pulley attached to the crankshaft. |
