I'm curious to see your feet...the ones that clamp your roof rack to the roof of your car of course.
I purchased an universal Thule roof rack that was on a '05 Mini and wish to adapt it for use on my 944.
And yes, I got it and it's accessories at a fair enough price to make it worth the effort to modify existing or purchase new feet !

I am using my thule rack since 25years on my 924. I am using it to transport my kayak. Actually the 924 is pretty low so it is easy to lift the boat on top.

Mine has these huge rubber feet underneath to protect the paint, works quite well.

Thank you for your input Nobbi. Just a couple of questions if I may.
How do the clamps attach the rack to the car? The Mini clamps I got with the rack are not at the proper angle and may need to be modified.
Also, do your clamps work only at the door opening or do your rear clamps fit in the area above the rear quarter windows?
Thanks again!

Hello,

the rear feet will slide into that "Cut-out" at rear chassis, so this position is fix.For the front you have to open the door and find a place that suit your needs.I put it backwards as much as the roof gets horizontal. So you get a leveled base on top....

The clamps can be ordered separetly, car specific, i guess.

But it will be possible to DIY them, no rocket science involved.

That's what I thought. Thanks for confirming!
