Yeah its a good idea. Im thinking of changing to a better oil separator than the stock one to keep the oil amounts out of the intercooler, or a second one as you thinking about. Oil mist in the air lowers octane aswell

From what I checked in my car the original one does not really do a good job.
It almost does not retain oil at all. Just split it

If I think better I put a performance instead of the original. (it is redundant to keep both)

No oil in intercooler and air filter

Yeah, its mostly a empty can, and only take biggest particles /sone fluid oil. Many bling aftermarket products are not better though.

I might try a man hummel provent 200 that i might get my hands on, which should be waaay better than the std one. Its a bit clumsy though, a 150 would be better.

I work at a world leading company on this subject with active separators (oil driven mostly) for heavy duty vehicles as a responsible for separation performance development. So i have some knowledge on the subject

My aftermarket can which vents to atmosphere has mostly worked well. It used to have a cheap K&N style paper/gauze filter on top and it spat oil and mist over the left side engine bay. The current ITG foam filter has never done this, no oil splatter. Occasionally a light oil mist on top of the can needs wiping down after some big boosting/spanking. But is all good now. Limited clean ups.

I have never used aftermarket Oil Catch Can.

The expensive ones contain a filter in them (bronze filter).

The 22 mm Inlets Size is not easy to find. I didn't measure the output exactly, but it looks pretty big too.

Which model best fits Porsche 931?

I searched and found nothing on 22 mm.

I found 19 mm and 15 mm Oil Catch Cans.

I want to leave the old Oil Catch Can on the car. Exit to enter to new Oil Catch Can. And the output of the new Oil Catch Can runs directly into the atmosphere through a small exterior filter. It's correct?
I want to block the output and just leave the exterior filter.

For this reason I think the 15 mm is more suitable. (19 mm has no filter)
What do you think?

The steering column rattles pretty badly. I replaced the wheel bearing. Almost no improvement

The bushing on the steering column is no longer available. Maybe I can put a teflon or polyurethane bushing.

I want to change the air vent system S1 with S2 (and by-pass air filter box)

I repaired the rod that had a broken screw in it since I had the car.

Do you have more photos of this roll cage?
What do you think about this one after some time?

Best regards,
Marcin

Ref. to: spare part Bearing bracket 477711237A (6 in the picture below).

Over time I accumulated 3 Shift mec. (Manual transmission).

I am curious if both parts in the picture are original. One appears on the Internet very often (I mean the one already mounted on the car) - the second one seems much rarer. (with white and no rust).

From what I understand, the white one is from 1979 924 NA (it is the model that has an additional spring).
From 1980, only the rubber model was installed (the rubber being very flexible, the spring was no longer needed). This model transmits fewer vibrations.

I found this topic discussed here in 2014: https://www.924board.org/viewtopic.php?p=358409&sid=b672000a3b1b2f8b9b6b247cbf8fe4ab

I ordered an AFR. Where is the best position to mount it? Before or after wastegate pipe?

Somewhere safe between the turbine flange and waste gate

I checked where the O2 sensor is placed on the American 924 turbo. It is placed very close to the turbo flange. (in fact, in the respective area it does not interfere at all).
Further back is the oil filter, further back is the wastegate system, after which comes the intermediate drum.
The instructions mention a distance of at least 45 cm for aspirated cars and 90 cm for turbo cars.
I measured and 90 cm means somewhere in front of the intermediate drum.

I mean, whatever I do - it doesn't turn out well.
