Hi all, I dont post much here since Im quite busy actually have an unfinished project to finish also but slowly getting there, Im sure I will always find more time to read others posts though. Does anyone know how to remove the front windscreen safely without breaking it or shall i leave it to a pro? . any suggestions are welcome. Regards to All. |

After removing the trim surround pieces and clips, I've used a guitar G string wrapped around a couple pieces of dowel wood for grip. Drill a hole in the sticky goop that glues the windshield to the body and thread the guitar string through the hole. One hand inside the body, the other outside and do a sawing motion with the string as you cut the glue. I've been successful 5 of 6 windshields. YMMV _________________ 1979 924 NA race car

Are the surrounds easy to remove as I would like to save them too, this is a part car obviously. |
