Has anyone ever measured the starting current draw? I am relocating the track car battery to the rear and trying to size the battery cable. The generalized figures I have seen are 6 amps for 100cc or about 120 amps. I figure a 20' run by the time I get thru two shut off switches and over to the starter. With a #2 cable and 120 amps my wiring voltage drop is about 3%, and with #1 cable it is closer to 2%. I think 2% is the recommended max. The #1 is obviously much heavier and more expensive than the #2.

Thanks in advance
