Can anyone tell me or post a pic on where the freeze plugs are on the 924 NA?
I have one leaking and the book of lies says 5 are needed.
I may as well do all of them _________________ Porsche 924 1984 (UK import) NA

Apart from the four larger ones on the side,
there should be at least one smaller plug on the rear of the engine (see second Chrenan pic).
But, if I remember correct there are two smal plugs on the rear of the block…
That makes six in total.
Could check my spare engine tomorrow if you need confirmation and sizes etc.

There is a plug that looks like a freeze plug that seals the oil galley. It's the shiny one in the first picture. _________________ White 87 924S "Ghost"

There are actually seven. There are five large ones (four along the side of the block, and one on the rear of the block), and two small 16mm ones, one on each end of the block. _________________ erstwhile owner of just about every 924 variant ever made |

The 14mm goes into the oil pump. I don't know why they show it on the block illustration. I've never removed/replaced that one, and have never had any issues. _________________ erstwhile owner of just about every 924 variant ever made |
