I still can't believe this car was parted out. . .one of the coolest 931 builds ever, IMO. What a shame.

What a beautiful, perfect day that was at Donington Park.

Trust me Rasta, a phoenix has risen from the ashes - the BassGT legacy is in safe hands.

The word BOSS fits the build perfectly so it's fitting that it's all over the car

BassGT's orange MK1 car in the background. The MK2 'Boss' car in early build with some original parts being donated.

So RSR......tell us more!

Does Mk 1 still live on as a complete body, or was it cut up?

I'm so glad to hear that Steves car gets to live on in not one but two other cars. It was a sad day for all of us when it popped and we (at least on the board) lost an excellent member and voice for the community.

Green tartan interior, you don't see that on a Civic.

Parts/shells used in at least 5 cars I know of. Not all lost.

Posting these here too. As quoted and found/sorted by Dan (Ideola) but buried in another unrelated thread on E85... Glad Dan grabs pics too or else some of this would be lost. Always inspirational

Steve usually refers to his build as "Project SkunkWerks". A search on "skunk*" with "bass gt" as the author returns these:

EDIT: There were "Bunches" of photos here: I think Dan might have them elsewhere??? Not sure

And, respectfully, the white car isn't as cool. Car in OP is my fave toofah racer of all time, including pro/factory cars.

I wish I was better organized back in the day. I have build pictures of various things but not in individual folders like I do now. So I am unsure to what car they belong

For instance, Carrera RSR has his own folder since its one of my favorite current builds

Rasta, its so true, I sometimes just pull up a pic of the BassGT car and just stare at it but I will admit that to several builds here from the CS to the aforementioned Carrera RSR with an occasional search to see if Joakim upped the game yet again. And there are many more in between

I even found I had all kinds of pics of your intercooler install that were so far back in my folder I all but forgot!
