I am in the process of bringing a dead 924 (15yrs dead)back to life. Of course the in-tank fuel pump is totally varnished up. Considering the cost of a new pump, I am thinking of going to a 944 strainer (928 201 081 04) and external pumps. I also have to replace the high pressure external pump as it is shot as well. My question is: do I need to add a second external pump to make up for the loss of the in-tank pump? If so, what pump or characteristics (i.e.-flow rate and pressure) should I get?
Thanks for any advice/help |

Ditch the internal pump, replace with the 924S strainer, and install one of these Walbros (direct fit replacement).

I don't have the strainer listed on my site, but I can quote you for that if you'd like to purchase both products from one place. _________________ erstwhile owner of just about every 924 variant ever made |
