Wow what a battle.
So after many struggles we have the engine hanging from an engine lift in the engine bay, the torque tube/drive shaft is engaged and bolted on, left side of the crossmember is bolted to the motor mount and the mount is bolted to the engine, the other side isn't even close to lining up, like a good inch off, any thoughts? Crossmember is not bolted to frame yet, all is hanging. Maybe we should bolt up the crossmember then struggle with the mounts??

I removed drivers side mount from my engine. Then loosely attached the crossmember and the steering shaft. I lowered the engine onto the passenger side mount. Then I put the drivers side mount onto the rubber mount and lined up and reinstalled the bolts from the mount to the engine.

I lower the engine out of the car with the cross member still attached to the engine.

When reinstalling, attach the cross member to the engine, then raise the front of the car high enough to slide it under the car. Then lift the engine/cross member and install.

okay will try that next time, getting it forward enough to get the driveshaft installed with the crossmember on seems tricky, no?
I've almost got it and should be okay now. It's always a major PITA the first time ain't it?
At one point I had to stop, drop the engine onto blocks pull the hoist and remove the front bumper, didn't have enough clearance to push the whole works back onto the drive shaft.

Attaching the cross member to the body is done after bolting up the torque tube.

I edited my previous post to make it more clear.

Okay, that's essentially what I ended up doing, hoisting engine high enough and forward enough to engage drive shaft and bolt up the torque tube, then with mounts into crossmember, raise it up bolt to engine slowly while engaging steering shaft joint and bolting crossmember to frame. It's just fiddly. It's done so that's one more baby step ahead, now to start reattaching everything else.
