You’d pay about 1usd / liter.
I pay that for regular diesel for my touareg.

Here the price is about 1,7USD/liter, which is cheap compared to pre corona when it was around 1,9USD (about 7,2 USD per gallon). And thats normal petrol/diesel at the pump..

So enjoy your car with the cheap fuel you have

UK is about £1.25 - £1.35 for premium 98/99RoN, close to pre Covid, but not as expensive as it was last year when got near to £1.50/litre. So close to $1.50per litre. Cheaper than Sweden, but still not 'cheap' as good 'ol US of A!

70-80% of UK fuel price is taxes......

Just filled up again..
Bit expensive at $2.90 a US gallon for premium 93..
It’s almost always about $39-$40 total when I fill up..

Once again.. Got amazing gas mileage flying all the way up here, but the runs back and forth to the bar every day have eaten my tank..

Made it north.. Has been quite a trip getting stormed on and rafting like 7 miles in wayy too shallow of water..

Have some pics if I can figure it out from a phone..
Nope.. Not enough service for uploading..

Made it home..

AFR was weird on the way home but it ran fine seemingly.. Was nervous..
Get home and go to jumpstart another car and it would never charge it..

931 dies if I pull a battery cable off of it.. So either the alternator went or some wires are screwed up somewhere.. Or something..

I guess low voltage makes a wideband read lean..
Would have plugged in my laptop to look at things but it kinda got flooded in a leaking tent and wont boot anymore..

Yes yes..
I call this 3 photo collection “Very Practical Car”

2 tents and air matresses, boat, blankets/luggage for 4, cooler, pumps, toolbox, jack, machete, coffee pot, laptop, beverages, 4 chairs, randoms (everything in tents pic came out of there)..
Fits..

Actually.. On the way back it was minus one blowup boat that didnt survive the 7 mile river trip over beaver damns and rapids, but plus one more girl, so i had to repack it with one back seat open and headrest thing flipped up..
Still fits..

Gets wood.. Check.. (i aint buying no stupid bundles)

Very practical indeed..
It’s almost like an El Camino..

No btw the wood did not get on the headliner or damage anything.. Some bark in there but was pretty careful..

Love this car so much..
Drove my M3 to town last night and it felt uncomfortable like sitting high up in a minivan, and slow af..
Should clean it up and sell it, and dump the money into making the 931 mo perfecter, but maybe not the best financial decision.. Hmmmm..

931 rules..
Alternator exciter wire circuit is screwed up somehow is all..

The 931 identified as a pickemup truck again today, getting pontiac wheels from the junkyard..
M3 would have scraped all over the place but the 931 is like a damn baja1000 beetle.. Just goes anywhere and never complains.. And fits basically anything in it..

Kinda wonder what it would be like to drive it with no hatch, doors, or roof on it, like a Jeep..

Funny, I think these problems are contagious - I've come across charging problems in my 931 too. Actually only found this in the data logs, would never have known without the Microsquirt, but my alternator seems to only be charging intermittently.

Have a new volt regulator on the way, as previous starting issues I've mostly worked through make me think it's the remaining thing... but I do need to check my battery bulb too.

For me it seems to effect my wideband reading..
Getting close to home it was saying that I was cruising at 18.0 AFR, and I was like no way in heck that is right, because it was running great, and I’d think it’d run like crap at 18..

AFR was still reading reasonable in more rich conditions, like more on throttle closer to 100kpa where I have it dropping..
So I was like driving on and off throttle to keep it out of the lean spot and driving at low RPMs when possible.. Scared to death to melt my pistons just by cruising too lean..

Jump the exciter to make it charge and all is back to normal running great..
