You could just put a lip on the edge since its not that much. Like a less aggressive version of the rally cars

otherwise I would probably start by "T"-ing the fender from the center. Straight up from the center of the tire and then top the T by going across the fender crease. Then bulge out the two flaps. Then extend the portion from the old crease out to your bulge. This will be a active process since you have to see how it all looks and acts as you go along

Back to the rally lip version. This seems easier. You could cut cardboard and bend a lip along the fender edge a little bit above the edge at an angle. Then you have a pattern for a thin fiberglass strip you would graft in and go from there. This way both sides are fairly equal. Once grafted, cut out the original fender edge/lip from under your newly created lip

A final way is to get a hold of some other flares for another vehicle or small truck and cut off just the lip portion to craft on your GT fenders. This is a bit more expensive though

3cm is a lot...are you sure you need that much?
Use different wheels and keep the width.
If you drive that car anywhere on the streets and especially in the city you will regret widening quite a lot.
I was recently with my 931 and my GTS wannabe in a different city, it was so difficult to park them, 931 is too low and cant descent into subterain parking lot and GTS wannabe is stupidly wide with big turning circle.

A wide car may look cool but its useless in many cases.

BTW, i'm using 9" wheels front and rear with GTS wings and 951S late setup.
I'm still adding spacers to fill up the arches. Do a trial first as you may have misscalculated that extra 3cm.

Yes.

For real now, my 931 is much easier and nicer to drive around city and park compared to the red GTS bodied 924.

My car is low and I got 10" ET23 with R888 245/45-16 inside the rear GT arches. With the 21mm turbo spacer inplace, there is still enough room for an indexfinger. You must have some serious wheels on that car

I guess roads and parking spaces are much less cramped here in 'merica'. Everything was designed for big detroit boats.

I have 9J rear wheels and there is about 1cm left. The problem is that I run 968 front suspension. So my front wheel extend 3cm more then the rears.

To correct it I bought also the 968 rear trailing arms, but i need some more room for the rear fenders.

as my car is a GT(S) replica I don't want to switch to the late ofset wheel, they all look to modern to my.

In this latest installment of 'Project Binky' they deal with the extension of the mini 'rallye' arches. I would assume you could do the same with the front and rear GTS arches https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mB4NXA_vNWs

PS it is worth watching the series from the start if you can stomach the quirky way they present the project!! Great fabrication, if a little Heath Robinson in their approach to engineering issues.

What about cgts rear Flares ? As the front wings of GTS are wider the rears should be wider to.
Project binky great series. They show how to do it your self in a garage sometimes.

FWIW

v8carreragts wrote:
According to the original Porsche 924 Carrera GTS manual, the GTS has front wings (translation for the German word) that are 10mm wider than the GT. But the rears are the same width. It shows 1745 mm width front and 1735 mm width rear.

This is directly out of the factory GTS manual.

"der GTS wurde an den Vorderkotflugeln um 10 mm verbreitert gegenuber dem CARRERA GT"

Translation:
The GTS was on the front wings to 10 mm wider than the Carrera GT

"Die Gesamtbreite betragt" vorn 1745 mm
hinten 1735 mm

Translation:

The overall width is front 1745 mm
rear 1735 mm

"Die vorderen Kotflugel und die StoBstange ist wie am CARRERA GT ungeschraubt"

Translation:

The front wings and fenders are like the CARRERA GT attached with screws

The Carrera GT is 1735 mm front and rear.

Thanks. Nice info You ve got.
I've always thought that the rear wheel arch in Gts is different shaped becouse it is wider.
