|

I have found more than one set of instructions, I have done this before on other cars, but I am stuck but good on this one. The inside door handle, all the instruction say to just pry the sucker out. Well I have tried a big screwdriver and a flat trim removal fork, it comes out somewhat, but does not pop out. The door cards and trim are one of the few good things on the car and I would like to preserve them.
The ultimate goal is to replace the passenger window and remove the electric side mirrors for paint.
Is there a trick or pressure point, anyone have a pic of one removed so I can see where it clips on?
Was hoping to orime it on Saturday, soending way too mych time on this tonight.....81 924 if it matters. _________________ 88 924S

Took one more shot, the little inner smooth piece is separate and comes off first. On to the fun part. _________________ 88 924S

Mirrors off, new window in, that was fun, sure I would get better with practice (or three hands) but getting the window back on both tracks was kind of a bithch, worked better when I raised the mechanism and trid starting the slides towards the front instead of the back. _________________ 88 924S

Here is a shot of the Driver's door panel from an '88 924S. The 10 clip positions are in the same locations on the passenger panel. Once you've removed the hardware (door release, arm rest, lock button, mirror adjustment bezel, etc.), pop loose the 10 clips (preferably with an interior tool) and then move the panel vertically to disengage it from the window slot in the door.
