Replaced the turn signal (smart switch) today, after I started it, I had smoke coming from the steering column. I shut it off immediately, pulled the steering wheel off and turn signal/wiper assmebly. I cooked the wire harness which attaches to the top left side of the turn signal/wiper assembly, see pic. Can anyone tell me what this wiring harness controls? I can't find it in the schematics? I also notice the headlight switch is cooked as well and the car will not turn over. I looked to see how many fuses burned out, but they weren't any. I'm thinking I had to burn up a relay or two?
