this car would be even better without the black mouldings
This car will obviously never get a door opened up on it so they can get rid of it.
Form follows function but this has no function here!

It's a museum of things as they were.

Au contrair, mon ami!
Absolutely functional: Roads and parking spaces tend to be a tad bit smaller over in the Heimat.

This car is not just on display but is also used outdoors for promotional purposes,
as they do with a lot of their inventory…
The hole idea is the Porsche gems are still road worthy, and can even be seen on the track at events where they have their roots.

Any chance they still have the frankfurt prototype CGT in the observation window? Would love to see some close ups of the wheel wells front and rear.

The mouldings look fine by me. I wish I had that car just the way it is.

Inventory changes all the time. Been there twice and other than the very original handmade prototypes in the entrance lobby area no two cars stayed in the same place. My biggest beef is the size, its itty bitty compared with Mercedes and BMW. (Which is HUGE and awesome)
Good to see they always seem to have at least one version of the 924 on show...

Yea they rotate the cars being displayed...maybe also based on their use outside the museum. Havent been there since 2013 or 2014 but i have seen both the green 924 and the red GTS in flesh and fiber glass

Looks just like the one I bought new in 77 except mine had the saddle interior, the US bumpers and side markers.

Arrived safely in the US yesterday evening. I have lots of photos from the museum, as well as a visit to Classic Remise in Dusseldorf, and Edelweiss Motorsport in Essen. Will post them as I have opportunity.

What a great trip, can't wait to go back!

Green tartan interior, you don't see that on a Civic.
