On a trackday i May 2015 the clutch broke ( the silly rubber center fell into pieces ), that was the start that i needed build the 924S i always wanted.

On a the Swedish website blocket.se i found this:

Day 1:

I changed the seals and ribs om the S2 Engine

I also modifyed the oil pickup with a support bracket

And then:

The external oil cooler from the S2 installed just under the bumper

After 12 Days the installation was finished and a friend and i was off to another trackday with the Swedish Porsche club:

A video from the last trackday of the season ( little to much windnoise..)

Looking good!

Interesting how you don't have to have your windows down when out on the track. Here in the US it's required so people can pull you from the car in an emergency.

Not at any club day I've been at. . .usual rule is windows all the way up or all the way down.

On these trackdays the windows should be closed, but cars without AC are allowed to have them slightly open to prevent the driver from getting overheated ( yes, it can be warm in Sweden sometimes )

My Fuchs is 7*15 ET23 and in the Pictures the tyres are Yokohama A032 205/50*15. A very light kombination that makes the car really alert.

The gearbox is original, 260000 kilometer / 161500 miles, it doesn't sound 100% healty anymore and is on the list of things to take care of..

What wiring or ECU modifications were required?

I'm sure the whole ecu had to come over with the twin cam harness and engine.

Yes, the S2 Engine was complete with wiring and ECU.

Here is the plan i did for the Electrics:

I used the connectors from the old 2,5 Engine to the S2 wiring.
New cables were needed to igniton coil and tachometer.

Now the brakes have been upgraded, Boxster calipers and discs from 911 carrera 3,2 in front and 944 turbo calipers and discs rear.
Swaybars also upgraded, 27 mm front and 19 mm M030 3 way adjustable rear.
A Fekzen chip added some power and more direct response.
