hey guys what all do I need to have and do for the 944 brakes to work on my 79 924? I tried to read a post but all it did was confuse me.
I'm new to these cars so if someone has a kit I could buy that would be awesome!
Won't be doing this till next summer but I'm wanting to get an idea of the work involved and price range to be expecting. Thanks! _________________ 1979 924 stocker soon to be autocross beast |

It's all in there.
Basically, front uprights, hubs, rotors, calipers, new flex hoses and pads. Rear caliper adapters (or the trailing arms as they are easier to swap and you can service the bearings and bushings while you're in there), calipers, rotors, new pads/rotors/flex lines. E-brake cable is different as well.
The 79 is kinda tricky due to the way the brake hard lines are setup. So you can use your choice of 924 Turbo or 944 brake parts with the 79 turbo brake master cylinder. The other option is to replace the brake hard lines to match the 944 style brake split and use the later 924 turbo/944 master cylinder. _________________ Stefan

Any idea if there's a kit though? Or do you need a donor car? Because finding a donor car here isn't possible haha I bought the only Porsche in my town... _________________ 1979 924 stocker soon to be autocross beast |

Nope.
Come out to the PNW for a Pro Solo event and you can raid someone's parts bin. _________________ Stefan
