How can you install a steering wheel and not test the horn??? That makes no sense.

The stock wheel has a ring, which is in contact with a connection on the control stalks.
This provides connection for the horn, which when the horn pad is pressed, shorts to earth and energises the horn relay.

My aftermarket Momo buttons have grounded to the wheel and therefore the adapter and column and had a separate connection to the ring on the adapter.

If you have two connections, try connecting the ground off the button to the wheel/adapter and the other connector goes to the horn ring connection at the bottom of the adapter.
