No, they are having a joke at your expense.
C'mon guys, contribute something worthwhile or just ignore him. We get so few new people around here, let alone those that stay that being childish doesn't help.
That said, Chris, as we've discussed over and over again. There's no quick power upgrades available. No cheap or easy solutions. Save your money and do it right once. If you can't listen to what we've all told you over and over again then we will have to stop trying to help and begin ignoring your posts. Sorry, but it is getting exhausting repeating the same things over and over again. _________________ Stefan

I wasnt joking, buy the Mittelmotor replacement head.
Take off the intake and exhaust manifold, have a new headgasket and timing belt ready. Replace the old head with the Mittelmotor head, dial in the valve timing using the makrs. Put everything back and enjoy a considerable amout of more power.
You can do this in your own garage, you only need the following:
-Mittelmotor head
-headgasket
-timing belt kit
-torque key
-set of spanners

To be honest, a fresh head with 15hp peak more power and overall higher power and torque curves is worth that money. And yea the 924s are cheap..but thats the cool part...5k budget gets you a pretty fast and cool 924. _________________ https://www.the924.com |

I agree with Morghen. Proven bolt-on parts are an ideal way to get into tuning cars.
It costs more initially but probably less in the long-run.
Buy some books and do your research on removing and refitting parts correctly, then go for the bolt-on route Chris.
You will learn a lot on the way. _________________ 1979 UK 932 |

Relatively speaking, the Mittelmotor head is reasonably priced.
A well-known tuner here in the UK charges £2000 for a fully ported big valve 931 head.
That doesn't include the head core which you must supply yourself. _________________ 1979 UK 932 |

Anyone tried to create cad model of 924 head intake ?
It's possible to test air flow and optimize them with some tools cad based.
If anyone can provide this model, we can found a public way to fix 924 head, not? _________________ Porsche 924 2.0 na 125hp (1979) euro

Mittelmotor have done this. If you would like to do it as well, it will cost more than the price Mittlemotor is asking for a fresh head that is "fixed" and gives you 15hp more. _________________ https://www.the924.com |

I don't think, with a simple dremel it's possible to modify intakes and it's possibile even to add material where needed.
This work is free if made by itself.
I do not understand why a free forum is always pushing to spend so much money instead of proposing solutions. _________________ Porsche 924 2.0 na 125hp (1979) euro

I do not understand why you keep whining like a kid on a free forum that holds over ten years of experience and you haven't read a darn single thread that will help you make up your mind.
Get a Dremel, work that head, and report back a year later what we are missing.
Thanks for your input.
