I'm having a punched VIN decal reproduced. Silly me, I took pictures of the old one but never took a physical measurement of the sticker. And I need to adjust the proof.

Can someone please let me know the exact length and width of the jamb sticker, preferably from an '80-'82 car?

Do you mean the VIN number tag in the front window?
Neither my '80 or 81 have a tag on the drivers door jamb.

The VIN sticker on my '80 was oriented just a bit below the window line, above the latch point, affixed to the door jamb. I took pics before removing/ committing to a new one.

It is the original sticker. I still don't have the measurements- I have a source but I need to wait for a while unless someone can put some basic measurements up. My only known reference example is quite a ways away.

I do not have that sticker as far as I can tell. I looked on the door jambs and in the engine compartments but could not find anything. Sorry I couldn't help.

And I wanted that macaroon.

To paint the car correctly, I need to replace the sticker. Some sacrifice is required.... besides, the chassis VIN and door post VIN trump the sticker in terms of importance.


Still looking though---- will PayPal $10 to the first person that measures the '80 VIN sticker with a ruler & posts reference pics.
I'm kicking myself for not measuring the sticker beforehand!
