Have a guy I can buy an 86 944 from in fairly good condition all around, he wants 1500 but said he just pulled the head to find out what was wrong with it and said the motor has two bad sleeves. Would it be worth it? Thoughts? _________________ '78 924 N/A |

Drop $1000 and it could be worth it. _________________ Stefan

Yeah that's kind of what I was figuring... Unfortunately he is "ferm" at 1500 and if he keeps it is planning on a v8 swap. Yes, ferm. _________________ '78 924 N/A |

Sounds about right for a V8 swapper.
They aren't that cheap or easy to swap, but everyone sees the swap kits and thinks it's like putting together a Lego kit. _________________ Stefan

Just tell him $1000 cash. If he refuses wish him good luck on his V8 build and if he changes his mind to call you.
The V8 engine swap is starting to be a good sales pitch for selling junk these days. |
