Hello all,

just thought i would share some pics from my race 924S.

I am installing a wide arch kit and 7, 8x15 Fuchs.
The reason is: 3,0 S2 engine needs more traction

Here is the build. Not ready yet

Do you like ?

the wide arch conversion begins.

we need to cut the fenders so the wide Fuchs fit under the flares.

We plan to make a replica of the Lemans 924 turbo look

I love it as well, it's sexy without being too "fat". Plus I'm gonna guess it a ton cheaper than a full carrera body kit. Where did you get the flares?

Its been quite a while that i bought these so I have to search my files. It surely was a German company that i got these from.

That would be great stv951 if you can find where they came from.

I would much prefer to do a Rallye replica than fit a CGT kit.

Stv951,

Do you have any more pics of the rear arches, They don't look quite the same or wide as the ones pictured on the car above. Where there 2 different types?

Thank you for your kind comments

Here's some progress
Car is now resprayed and is getting assembled.

Here are some pictures where you can see how we had to cut the wings to create some clearance for the wide 7 and 8x15 Fuchs

Loads of reworking on the flares too (extensions)

I know that many of you will say that i shouldnt have cut the fenders. Remember that this is a racecar with a 944 S2 engine. It begs for traction compared to the 924 turbo 6x15 that i used on the back
Lost it a bit under braking here....

and one with front wheel lift.

Well, you can actually get 255 tyres at the rear without cutting, but good luck anyway . Nice that you chose a more interesting path then ruining it with a 944 kit!

255s on what wheels ?
I tried but even 225s rubbed. I plan to lower the car. I have just installed a GAZ coilover suspension.

We are getting there. Still not decided what colour to paint Fuchs. Might got for black (safe) of white (pearl)

Here how she looks with flares assembled after painting.
