Hey guys, got Wynns injector/ air intake cleaner as car been sitting for a few years and only done 800 miles!! It says spray into air intake pipe and open end of PCV valve. Where's that??
Trying to help in my starting and smooth running. Can I spray directly into aux air valve as it's quite dirty looking and only about 1/4 open when cold?
Thanks

Wile fixing my cold start problem I removed the AAV and sprayed the dickens out of it. All kinds of goo came out. Into the freezer and spray, on the glass cooktop to warm up as on contact to engine. Resprayed. back to fridge. etc. etc.
moved the vanie inside gently with a screwdriver, it helped loosen the gunk inside.

Also removed the WUR and cleaned both the in and out filters. Careful with the copper washers on the WUR.

Car now starts easy.

ALSO replaced the dried hoses that go to the charcoal filter.
Cleaned the lift plate under the intake hose massaged from inside the filter housing.
Good luck.

Smoke the system via the booster vacuum line.

Hey bud. I've sprayed lift plate also and cleared a bit of brown oily stuff from it it now moves freely down! Sprayed AAV also and cleaned. My problem was lack of voltage to csv on crank, so it have switch below steering wheel for cold start. I only need a second to fire her up, but until warm she doesn't idle great. Emissions are 1.2 so will pass the vehicle test here. Might try the control pressure reg or WUR?. Same thing yeah?

the WUR has two tiny screen filters on the ports, if you have an inspection mirror you can check to see if they're clean of build up before removal of the unit... FYI don't drop the copper crush rings....
Remove the unit to gently clean them with a brass wire brush,
If you're really adventurous open up the WUR and do an inspection of the diaphragm and spring... what looks great externally might be shot inside...
must be sealed properly before re installation
