I've given it to a mechanic who's incredibly unresponsive-He told me to wait three weeks until he could work on it, which I did, he's had it two weeks-I've called a couple of times just to see if he's looked it over, and he basically never calls back-he's suppose to be great, and I was impressed with his knowledge when I met him, but the radio silence is making me nuts! Do I find another guy? I'm in Manhattan, ny-can anyone recommend someone really good in the tri state area who knows 924's and in particular 924 carreras?

Speaking from the "mechanic" side of things and having worked on many high end cars for wealthy, and/or enthusiast type clients my advice would be to tell this guy to shove it as it is obvious that he neither cares about you or your car. It sounds like he is either too busy or too egotistical...do you really want someone like that working on your baby?

I'm with TJ. You have been waiting now for over a month. The guy doesn't respond to you. To me it shows he isn't interested. I would contact the Metro NY region of PCA and see who is around. There are a lot of knowledgeable and dedicated Porsche mechanics that would be more than willing to help out.
