Article - What to do with the most clapped-out Porsche 924 I'd ever seen? Buy it!

And here is the YouTube video before I had it hauled off

(*edit to add video link *)

Not rust free unfortunately. And there is some filler on the sides that the repaint covered up. It is sunroof delete, but the engine being open for decades does not give me hope as to it ever running .

Watch the video - there is no amount of polish to make this right! Rear seat truly left brown stains on my jeans that only came out with bleach

YouTube link - desert find 1977 Porsche 924 - the most clapped-out Porsche

Yeah, it was pretty bad. I got it for substantially less than the original CL posting. Mostly I wanted the hatch for my 944, which is in great condition.

But yeah, definitely LOL-worthy. The current CL add is even worse!

Before you scrap it or whatever, I could use the fenders and PS door...

I've already let it go to a scrap guy, but he has intentions of making big money off Porsche parts. See CL add below:

(*edit - this is not my ad, I no longer have the car)

Thx.

For some reason I was thinking that this was an S.

The fenders might still work, but probably not willing to pay what he wants, plus the trip down there to get them.

Yeah, the word "Porsche" does cause some people to go nuts a bit . But KDJones2000, I bet he'd let the fenders and hood go for cheap.

Original wheels! But otherwise it looks in a terribly sorry state.

The wheels were in excellent condition. Which was a stark contrast to the rest of the car
