New member, a little background.
I used to own a 78 924 in college and loved it, many found memories.
Several years ago I bought a 1986 951 from a friend that had been sitting quite a few years and brought it back to life (new belts, hoses, paint, etc) and drove it pretty regularly for about a year but the car was black/black and although I know that is popular with some people is just doesn't do much for me, I guess I like color and contrast so I sold the car.
A few months ago I saw a really nice 924 Turbo and decided I would like to have one so I started looking.
Long story short I now have four!
Will eventually post more on all the cars but just out of curiousity I was looking for the rear option tag that is supposed to be in the rear hatch area between the tail lights and I can't find one on any of the cars I have?
One of the cars is supposedly a 24,000 mile car and very original, another is high mileage but 2 owner and also very clean and original.
My point is at least two of the cars are nice and untouched and I would think should have the tags?
Is this unusual?
Anyplace else I should look?
Thanks
Rusty

My 80, which I got with fairly low miles, also has no option tag.

Welcome.

No option tag for '80.

You can call Porsche customer commitment with your vin, they should have the option codes, will verify engine & trans numbers, give you the inservice date and dealer who sold it.

Do you still have original owners manuals that came with those cars? You could check them. My car has the sticker between the tail lights but also in the first page of owners manual.
