I wired mine...
alternator power 1 into 2 (both fans), then fans ground to thermofan switch, then thermofan switch to alternator ground...
and it works excllent... I could prolly use an inline fuse just off of the alt power but I haven't yet...
the only good power under the hood of my car that I know of is that alternator power because my main battery power wires are now hooked up just under the starter motor..
I had to get the air filter housing out of my way a bit to get to that thermofan switch but it wasn't that difficult..
I just figured id add a successful hookup to the end of this thread for anyone who reads this down the road trying to do the same..
thanks all for the help..
edit: thermofan, not thermotime... _________________ 1980 931S LSD FMIC hobby - 01 RS25 coupe - 95 M3 coupe - 06 X5

Thermotime switch is intended to operate the cold start injector.
Are you sure you have described your setup accurately? _________________ 78 924 NA

I have my fans running full-time. No switch needed ===> just turn on the AC fan and they will run! PS I know its cheap and easy to replace the thermo switch, however, cracking the radiator wasn't worth the risk for me. |
